Member Information Privacy Policy
Amended December 13, 2004

I.  Purpose

The purpose of the Member Information Privacy Policy is to establish the parameters by which Non-Public Personal Information (NPPI) will be made available to third party vendors.  It is the ultimate goal of this policy to maintain complete confidentiality of members' NPPI outside of this credit union with the single exception of the CUNA Mutual Insurance Group.

II.  Responsibility

The Board of Directors is responsible for the formulation of the Member Information Privacy Policy.  The Board delegates the implementation of this policy to management to conduct day-to-day operations in a manner consistent with this Policy Statement.

III.  Policy Statement

Whereas it is the right of every member to strict confidentiality of their NPPI,

Whereas it is the right of every non-member to strict confidentiality of their NPPI,

Whereas it is the intent of this Policy that NPPI is held in the strictest confidence,

Where insurance products are a valuable asset to this credit union and its' members,

Whereas to adequately process insurance policies and claims some sharing of NPPI must occur,

Whereas the CUNA Mutual Insurance Group services the insurance needs of this credit union,

Be it resolved, that the only outside vendor with whom this credit union will share NPPI of an nature is the CUNA Mutual Insurance Group and only then in the processing of insurance policies and claims directly relating to credit union sponsored insurance products.

IV.  Exceptions & Review

There will be no exceptions to this policy.
